Eye-candy

I've gt some more eye-candy to show off.  The sod is down now, they laid it around the entire house... very nice!!!  I meet with the PM next week, after things settle down for him to look over some more improvements and completed punch-out items.

Enjoy!

  2. Beautiful house! I'm so jealous of the sod... we have a straw covering and grass seed right now. I cannot wait for the grass to start growing!

    1. We were supposed to get grass/seed in the back 1/3 of the house, but for some reason, they provided irrigation all the way around. When I asked my PM about it, he said that maybe RH is realizing the market is picking up and providing it to new customers based upon demand. My guess is that they were worried the house might appraise for less than agreed so maybe this would increase the perceived value? Then again, who knows... whatever the case, it was a bonus, and I am thankful for it!

  4. Thanks dwtimes2! Getting 'Elevation N' was all timing. Before considering Ryan Homes, we were looking at other builders, and many in our area are emphasizing cottage/craftsman style. When our SR was flipping through the book, we immediately latched on to N. It almost didn't work out, since he claimed that N was brand new, hot off the press, and they didn't have pricing for it. Then, later, I almost made a bone-head move and switched to another elevation. I am very thankful I switched back. Anyway, I bet it won't be another couple months before I am browsing the blogosphere drooling over what other people got that I didn't have available at the time of my purchase. Still though, N is a looker.

    1. Thanks Henry! Out of the gate, the SR tried to set the expectation that they go in a completely clear the lot, but out of the gate I set the expectation that I wanted to keep as many trees as possible. Once the PM stepped into the picture, he arranged to preserve a number of trees. This was one of several personalization touches he accommodated to make my experience positive and satisfactory.

  6. It's looking really beautiful. I love the fact that they kept the mature tree on the side.
